<text>Through the mountains and plains of the Alborz Mountains that are located within the province of Gilán live the Gilak people who are initially from these territories and who, by tradition, have dedicated themselves for centuries to the cultivation of rice, tobacco, coffee, and tea, as well as fishing and silk production. The Gilan province, located in the north of Iran and very close to the Caspian Sea, has a temperate humid climate with high annual rainfall, generating abundant humidity in the Alborz mountains that provides the natural conditions necessary to produce excellent rice crops. This cereal constitutes their primary source of production and income, so it has an essential place within the Gilak culture. At each planting and harvesting of rice, Gilak women perform a dance related to their agricultural activities to ask or thank them for the planting and harvesting this cereal. The Qasemabadi or Ghasem Abadi dance is performed by the Gilak women, who, before beginning, usually pray and thank God for both the sowing and the harvest, as appropriate. Subsequently, the dance begins when the women dance in circles, making movements with their hands, simulating and spreading the seeds. They spin happily to the beat of the music while their skirts rise in circles and show off their colorful ribbons. In the end, slower movements are made in terms of the harvest. For its interpretation, musicians who play the region's folk music with different instruments are necessary. The women of the village of Ghasem Abadi, from which the dance takes its name, use the same attire design for their daily life, festivities, or the performance of the Qasemabadi or Ghasem Abadi dance. The difference is that the daily costume has simple fabrics; on the other hand, the festive costume that is used in dance is finer and brighter, as it is made with better fabrics and decorations.

<text>The doll wears a costume from Lagartera in the Province of Toledo in Spain. This delicate and profuse costume originated in the Middle Ages. It emerged as an expression of status since its production required fine fabrics and exquisite decorations, such as delicate braids, embroidery, and trimmings, which is why it also needed skilled artisans, weavers, and tailors who were able to create this elegant outfit. Their garments testify to their antiquity since they are named after the ring, views, crosses, andilgue, alforda, doublet, senojil, etc. For some time, the town of Lagartera already had extensive textile activity because they had specialized in the cultivation of flax, a fiber that they wove on the looms that existed in every home in the town. Already during the 18th century, the Lagarteranos traveled throughout Spain selling the fabrics and linen garments they produced, which were considered of high quality at that time. By the beginning of the 20th century, its artisanal production of linen fabrics and various embroideries became its main commercial activity. Therefore, today, Lagartera is recognized in Spain for its fine textile production. The Lagartera Suit remains deeply rooted within the traditions of this Spanish town, which is dressed elegantly during the religious celebration of Corpus Christi, where the lagartera women take to the streets wearing their elegant costume to attend the procession in the that the priest blesses the altars of the Child God that the population places with delicate fabrics. The Lagartera costume and the canvases used in the altars are kept carefully throughout the year and mostly inherited for generations. <span style="text-decoration:underline;"><br /></span></text>
