"In 1975 I was the only woman in each of my classes and there were no female teachers. At all. And there was complete silence on my topic. Nobody really thought it was valid and in some, some classes were more welcoming than others but my supervisor really saw me as upsetting his male class. They had a vibe going on and just by my presence they couldn’t be so openly sexist as they often were. It was very bad so I never finished that because first of all they didn’t appreciate the work, didn’t support the work, they weren’t helpful to me in the work. So then I, it took me a while, it took me another ten years to go back and do a Masters."</text>
