Description
Knight and 2 wives
Notes on the Parchment: "Eduarde Bulstrode 2 wives 1517"
Description of Rubbing: Edward is on the left. He has his hands in prayer and his hair hits his shoulders. His hair is combed down on either side of his face.
He is wearing plate armor with a skirt and gorget of ringed mail. His hilt and dagger are below his elbows. He has broad toed shoes with rowel spurs and is facing forward.
Helen and Margaret are to his right. They are very similar. Their heads are facing left towards Edward and their hands are in prayer.
They have long diamond patterned headdresses on and large cuffs with fur like patterns on them. Their dresses have very little pleats but are long. They also have diamond patterned belts down the front.
Research has found there should be another wife on the left side. It is his first wife Mary, she was removed.
