Description of Rubbing: Standing forward. No hands are showing the right one holds a heater shaped shield and the left holds a lance.
The shield and pennant on the lance both have a chevron on them.
He has a fine mustache and is in full armor. His suit of mail has a full hauberk, chausses and his surcoat has a cord around the waist and fringe at the bottom. He has leather knee-caps with floral decoration and prick spurs.
There are roses decorating his sword strap with the sword at the right. There is a detailed shoulder strap on the left. There is a large lion biting the lance at his feet. This is the oldest surviving brass in England and the only one with a lance.
