Notes on the Parchment: "Wyclyfo 1606"
Description of Rubbing: This rubbing is in 3 different sections within a square brass.
The top left is of a man with a background. He is kneeling towards the left with his hands in prayer. He is kneeling on a tufted pillow and in a room with a square tiled floor. He is at a podium that has vertical lines down the side with multiple layers of crown molding and an open book on the top.
He has short hair that is close to his head and no facial hair. He is wearing a cartwheel ruff and a detailed buttoned up vest/jacket with tight sleeves and it flares out at the hip. There is a skirt below that has vertical details and puffs out. He is also wearing tight pants with stockings that sit over his knees and rounded shoes.
The top right is of a very detailed coat of arms. There are vertical lines behind the coat of arms. This section is also broke up in different pieces. There are flourished decorations on the outside of a shield.
The shield is broken into four different sections. The top left has a chevron with three crosses. Top right has a chevron with three deer heads complete with antlers. Bottom left has a square in the top left corner with a blank shield and the rest is a small pattern.
Bottom right is the same as the top left. The bottom half is all written inscription in carrying sizes of capital letters. The top line is his name and then there are 7 lines of inscription. He is the only son of William Wycliffe.
