The English translation of the 3 lines of Latin inscription:
"Here lies Margaret, once wife of William Cheyne, who died the 23rd day of the month of August, in the year of our Lord 1419. On whose soul may God have mercy. Amen"
Description of Rubbing: She is facing forward with her hands in prayer. Her head is laying on 2 pillows with 2 angels, one on each side of her.
The angel on the left is missing a wing in the rubbing. She has a headdress on with flowing fabric attached. She is wearing a cape that flows out behind her and a long dress tight to her arms chest and stomach and then it flares out with folds and pleats at her hips.
There is a small dog at her left facing up towards her with a collar on.
There are 3 lines of Latin inscription under her.
