CUPW Boycott the postal code button

A Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) button created for the 1972 boycott of the postal code. The postal code was implemented between 1971 to 1974 to increase automation for mail sorting. The CUPW announced a boycott of the postal code by asking Canadians not to add it to their mail. This button was union-made.

A large, round button with a white background and blue text. In the center It has an older CUPW logo with a globe that shows Canada. Encircling the logo is "Boycott the Postal Code Boycottons le code postal". In the far edges, near the crease is the Allied Printing Trades Council label as well as an International Photo-Engravers Union of North America (I.P.E.U.) label.
