Description
Knight of the Garter
Description of Rubbing: He is facing forward with his hands in prayer. He is in full plate armor or Lancastrian armor. It is complete with helmet, taces and rowel spurs. His palettes on each side near his shoulders have the cross of St. George. He has a long broad sword that sits from his waist to his feet on the right. There should be a misericorde or dagger on the left.
You can see where the rubbing started to catch it on the edge of the flag pole. In the crook of his arm on the left there is a flag complete with pole that flies the arms of King Edward.
He is a Knight of the Garter which can be seen under his knee on the right. At his feet rests a lion that has his head to the left and is facing forward.
The full brass includes his wife Margaret.
