Notes on the Parchment: "children of Robert Ingylton 1472 Thornton"
Description of Rubbing: This rubbing is in a line and separated into 3 sections. Going left to right:
Left section is a group of 8 children. There are first 5 females who are facing the right. They all have square shaped headdresses on and their hands are in prayer. Their dresses have an oval neckline and are long with pleats and folds at the bottom. Their feet are not visible.
Then there are 3 males. One without a bag at his waist and two that have one. They all have bowl cuts and are facing right with their hands in prayer. They also have long robes on with pleats but their shoes are showing.
The next group is 5 children. There are 2 males. The first one has a bag and the other one does not. They are the same as previously except they are facing the left.
Then there are 3 females. They are the same as previous but also facing left.
The next and final group of children is a group of 3. There is one male with a bag and facing left and 2 females also facing left.
The original brass was stolen from the church of St. Mary in Wendover Buckinghamshire in 1980.
