Description
Inscription: Has names that will be described in description but last part has two lines of gothic font in Latin.
Latin Inscription:
"Orate pro animabus Willelmi Bradschawe Generosi et Alicte uxoris eius qui [...?]|
quidem Willelmus obiit quarto die octobris Anno domini Mo vc xxxviio et Anno Regis . Henrici . Viii xxix. "
The English Translation:
"Pray for the souls of the generous William Bradshaw and Alice his wife [qui . . .?] |
This William died the fourth day of october in the year of our Lord 1537 and in the 29th year of King Henry VIII."

Description of Rubbing: The rubbing is in 4 different tiers/ From top to bottom left to right:
The top tier has Wilhm on the left kneeling and facing right. His hands are in prayer and he is at a prayer station or podium with a book open on top of it. He has long flowing robes with cross hatching detailed shading, pleats and folds. His hair is straight to his chin and he has straight bangs. His name is written underneath in gothic font.
On the right side leaving a gap between is Alice. She is also kneeling with her hands in prayer but she is facing left. She also has a prayer station or podium with an open book at the top. She has a long flowing dress and robes with a belt at her waist. There are details and shading also within her clothing. Her dress has a square neckline and she is wearing a headdress.
Alice (a word) wyffe is under her depiction.
The next tier is of their children they are all in a line under them with their names underneath them. They are smaller and less detailed.
First is Henry, he is a male facing right, kneeling with his hands in prayer, has long flowing robes and his hair matches his father.
Next is Johan. A female facing right and kneeling with hands in prayer. She is wearing a long dress with a rectangular detail at the neck and a headdress that is past her shoulders.
Agnes is next and is almost identical to Johan.
Next is Briget she is a female facing left and is kneeling with her hands in prayer but she is in a shroud. The shroud covers her whole body and is open so her head and hands can be free and is tied up at her head. The word "dede" is written under her name.
Elzabeth is next. This female is facing left but looks like Agnes and Johan.
Margery is next and she looks like Briget. She also has "dede" under her name.
Wilhm is next. He is a male facing left in a shroud like Margery and Briget with "dede" under his name too.
Sibill is last and she is facing left and is kneeling with her hands in prayer. She has a flowing long dress but has no headdress, she has flowing long hair.
The next tier is the grandchildren. They are linked to their parents with a line and they are just names. From left to right from the parents: Henry had - Wilhm, Benet, and Alice (dede). Johan had - Elzabeth, Edward, Margery, Wilhm, Alice, Briget, Henry, and Arthur. Agnes had - Briget, Alice, Wilhm, Henry, and Briget. Alice had - Wilhm, Briget, Elzabeth, and James. Elzabeth had - Richard, Briget, and Anne.
The last tier is two lines of text in gothic font.
"dede" - means death most likely signifying they died as infants.
The brass was produced by London G workshops.
