Learning from Dolls
The dolls in Indigenous historian and collector Maria de Lourdes Orozco Cuautle's collection come from over 60 countries and serve as historical and cultural testimonies to the skills and lives of the women who made them. Many of the dolls in the collection represent Indigenous stories and relationships with land, family and community.
The digital doll library is created and maintained by the University of Toronto Scarborough Library Digital Collections. The present exhibit showcases three dolls from the collection, presenting them through a multisensory approach.
