Hya Yaka/Yearbooks

The Hya Yaka is the original yearbook of the U of T Dentistry Faculty. Beginning in 1903, it reflects the ideas, views, and beliefs of the dental student body through time. The earlier editions contain poems, summaries of events, informal codes of conduct and other write ups by the students. Through time, we can see the student body becoming more diverse and inclusive. The yearbook changed names in 2018 to U of T Dentistry Yearbook. Today, it celebrates events and facts about the past year that have been selected to be remembered by our graduating class.

University of Toronto Dental Journal (U.T.D.J.)

The official publication of the U of T Undergraduate Dental Students Society. It was published irregularly from 1987 to 1998.

Through the years there have been some attempts from our students to publish a journal or newsletter. The editors would balance the extremely busy schedule of a D.D.S. and find time to edit volumes in time for publication.

These are some other examples of these efforts: Amalgam Scrap, Undergraduate Student Dental Journal.

University of Toronto Undergraduate Dental Journal

A journal by the undergraduate dental society of U of T, this publication ran from 1964 to 1979 with irregular issues.
