15 March 1954: Pearson Speech on “Canada in the World Today”

After two months of Canadian efforts to understand the implications of Eisenhower’s New Look, Pearson makes a major speech in Washington. He explicitly references Canada’s dependence on US foreign policy by comparing the United States to a wife that Canada cannot live without.
