Draft History and Revisions

These documents focus on the writing of the draft history and the subsequent revision process. Various Canadian agencies and Crown Corporations were included in the process, along with British edits to the draft. The Canadian government clearly favoured making the history public. Nonetheless, senior officials acknowledged the limitations of Canada’s power, ultimately conceding that Ottawa could not aggressively push for publication.
