1954: Canadian Amendments

In this series of documents from 1954, the Department of External Affairs outlines proposed amendments to the first draft of the history. Both the draft and the final version of revisions are included here, showing the process of decisions. The draft history prepared by the Americans was also circulated throughout various Canadian agencies, such as Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL), a Crown corporation and Canada’s largest nuclear laboratory. The AECL’s president responded with recommendations, included to illustrate an example of the policy recommendations that were being made to the Department of External Affairs at the time.
