The Etruscans
The Etruscans of modern-day northern Italy were another antiquity civilization that was found to have practiced prosthetic dentistry. An Italian Museum in Cornets features corpses with artificial teeth made from animal teeth. Etruscans constructed dental bridges made from gold rings holding ox-teeth [insert picture here from “history”]. (5) Another example comes from an Etruscan tomb that, when excavated, contained three artificial teeth bound together with a band of pure gold. (1)
