The Dentistry Library continues to experience many changes under Helen's guidance. The collection has changed to mostly online textbooks, journals, and tools. The onsite print includes about 9,000 items. The library now subscribes to over 200 dental journals, most of which are available online. A major renovation of the space occurred in 2018, which required years of careful planning, inventories, weeding, archiving, and moving collections. Most of the 700 square footage space is now used for study space. The transformation of the library space reflects what students crave in a modern library, which is a space to reflect, share and inform ideas for better dental practice.

Like many other places, the library experienced service interruptions during the pandemic. The physical space was closed from March 2020 to September 2021. Library services quickly adapt to an online only delivery model under the guidance of the UofT Libraries and the consultation with Dentistry administration. As of the time of this post in October 2022, the library is still transitioning to full onsite services and our space has become a place of discussion, study and enjoyment again.
