What is going on in the photograph above?

The Klondike Gold Rush took place in Canada's Yukon from 1896 to 1899. The buggy in the photograph is covered in signs for Kormann brewery--perhaps the SPS students were going on their own "Klondike Expedition" to this beer manufacturer?

The SPS's weekly column in the Varsity on December 3, 1903, briefly mentions a return from the Klondike, suggesting some students or alumni may in fact have made a trip there:
