The Chemistry and Mining Building, now the Lassonde Mining Building, ca. 1906. UTARMS, A1965-0004/012 [7.1].

Severe overcrowding in the SPS program, which had grown to several hundred students, prompted the construction of the Chemistry and Mining Building. Construction of this building, now known as the Lassonde Mining Building, began in 1902 and was completed in 1904.
