Historical Snapshot

The former Ajax munitions plant was an ideal site for the large engineering cohort in 1945. The site included many facilities that had been used by the factory's former staff, including residential space for up to 2500, a cafeteria, and recreation areas. Moreover, a series of small buildings, formerly shell-filling works, could be updated to use as lecture halls and laboratories. [2]
