1978-1982 Rebuild

The Sanford Fleming Building was rebuilt following the fire in 1977. During reconstruction, the interior of the building was overhauled. Originally a three-storey building, four floors were built inside the original frame. A cafeteria, modern lecture halls, laboratories, as well as a larger two-storey library were added. The building re-opened in 1982. [8]
